WHAT WE DO

ARIA is a spin-off company of the Institute of Marine Biology, Biotechnology & Aquaculture of the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research.

ARIA is constantly searching to develop innovative solutions for the construction of Recreational Diving Infrastructures in an effective, eco-friendly, sustainable, cost-efficient and profitable way.

Based on R&D experience of HCMR, ARIA is a strong and reliable partner for your most ambitious projects.

CUSTOMISED APPROACH TO OUR SERVICES, PRODUCTS AND PARTNERS

We support our customers across the design, development, optimisation, manufacturing and implementation of recreational diving parks as well as free underwater artificial diving attraction projects.

We provide advice and technical support for all or part of the ecological, engineering, construction expert work.

As each project has its own solution, ARIA is constantly innovating by adapting its technologies to any specific environmental seascape and by using all required additional expertise.

ACTIVITIES OF ARIA SPIN-OFF COMPANY INCLUDE:

The study and construction of diving parks and open recreational diving attractions according to current legislation for the development of Diving Tourism in Greece (e.g. Law 4688/2020 – Gov. Gazette A 101/24.05.2020; Common Ministerial Decision 3000.0/31173/2023 Gov. Gazette 2968.05.05.2023). Τhe elaboration of all necessary  studies (e.g. feasibility and other accompanying studies, EIA, marine biodiversity registration & monitoring, mapping of marine habitats and seabed morphology, design of diving trails, business plans, diving regulations, etc.)

The transfer of know-how (construction, transportation and deployment of innovative ARs) in the form of technical construction instructions, plans, services, etc.

The provision of organization and administration services as well as specialized consulting and control services or project monitoring relevant with the operation of existing diving parks and underwater recreational attractions.

The provision of technical assistance to third parties in the form of information, guidance and staff training.

The assignment to third parties, following spatial-temporal permit agreements of the patent entitled: “RECREATIONAL DIVING OASIS WITH ARTIFICIAL REEFSTM” (World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), No WO2017/081495/18-05-2017(PCT); European Patent, No ΕΡ3374569 with designated states: Croatia, Spain, France, Italy, Malta, Cyprus, Turkey and Greece.

The participation in research and innovation (R&I) programs as well as in pilots projects involving the experimental use and development of new artificial habitats for the creation of diving parks, fisheries management zones, extensive aquaculture areas and other related blue development applications.

ARIA will seek to achieve the above purpose by any legal means and any appropriate action. In particular, among others, it may:

Collaborate to achieve its goals, with any legal relationship, with individuals, the Greek State, foreign states and international organizations, with Greek or foreign Research Centers, generally with Greek or foreign legal entities under public or private law, professional or other associations, unions and relevant consortia of all kinds.

Co-operate with any business partner, existing or to be established in the future, domestic or foreign, with the same or similar purpose in any corporate type and form.

Establish branches or offices in Greece or abroad and to represent any business, domestic or foreign, with the same or similar portfolio.

Participate in competitions or any other invitations of interest either for Greek or foreign natural or legal persons, private or public law or associations (including the Greek State and foreign legal entities) to achieve the above purpose.

Conduct, assist by any means or even finance related scientific research, studies, market research or other activities to achieve its objectives, of any nature; to organize or even finance seminars, lectures, conferences to the public, to third parties, selected individuals and its employees.

Participate in any convenient way in national or international seminars or conferences or scientific programs, scientific, educational or research activities and undertake in whole or in part such projects, provided that such activities can be of any benefit to the company.
